Insert the AS tampon immediately after sex, for example lying in bed (by hand or using the reusable applicator).

Once the tampon is in place you can stand up, go and pee which is always good after sex. Leave it inside the vagina for three minutes, then remove the tampon by gently pulling on the string. We recommend setting a timer to avoid forgetting the tampon in the vagina.

NOTE AS is not a contraceptive and does not help against sexually transmitted diseases (STIs), the tampon should not be used instead of a condom in these respects.
